One thing I never really considered, although considering my coasters are all flat plaque-like things I really should have, is how good 3D printing is for making signs. Normal printed signs can peel or discolour, and if they get scratched they’re pretty much ruined. 3D printed signs are tough, weather-proof and if they’re spared from too much direct sunlight they’ll last for years. So that’s another service I’m more than happy to offer! As you can see from the slideshow I made the sign for my business using 3D printing, it’s been mounted outside now for almost a year and aside from turning slightly green (which isn’t surprising considering it’s printed using Glow In The Dark ABS, which glows green when exposed to UV) it’s still perfectly servicable. I also made the ‘Deliveries’ sign for when I’m expecting (you guessed it) deliveries, which is hinged and has a magnetic catch; a small mount for two neodymium magnets is screwed to the door above it and the sign can be flipped up to be held in place and then flipped down again exposing the wording. Great for when I’m busy and don’t need someone hammering on the door!
Aside from that the possibilities are endless. Do you need a cute plaque for your child’s bedroom door? No problem, I can make one for you with whatever cute things on it he or she wants (or not cute things, depending on what they’re like). Are you making a special memorial for someone, or do you run a charity which has taken a donation and needs to memorialise the donor? They can have their own custom-made plaque made just how they like it. Are you going on your hen-night or stag-night and need custom-made name badges for when you’re too paralytically drunk to remember your own name? That can certainly be arranged (although please drink responsibly). Do you want a set of custom-made dogtags but the metal ones clink too much and drive you insane? No worries, custom-made 3D printed ones can be yours!
This isn’t something I can just make one posting for in my Etsy store as there’s literally a world of possibilites, and of course a small badge will end up being more expensive than a full-sized sign. So therefore I treat every one as a custom job, priced accordingly. So if you need signs, badges, nameplates or plaques made specially to your own exacting specifications just drop me a message!
